[특허] 삼성 자회사, LG이노텍 상대 '카메라렌즈 특허침해' 소송

삼성전자는 이스라엘의 카메라 솔루션 업체 코어포토닉스를 인수했다. 그런데 코어포토닉스는 LG이노텍에 특허침해 금지 소송을 제기했다. 이 같은 사실은 뒤늦게 업계에 알려졌다.
Samsung Electronics acquired Israel's camera solution provider Core Photonics. However, Core Photonics filed a lawsuit against LG Innotek for patent infringement. This fact was later announced to the industry.
코어포토닉스의 입장을 살핀다. 코어포토닉스는 미국 애플이 아이폰 카메라에 자신들의 특허 기술을 무단으로 사용해왔다고 주장했다. 그런데 아이폰 카메라를 공급하는 업체가 LG이노텍이다. 그러므로 코어포토닉스는 LG이노텍을 상대로 소송을 제기했다는 입장이다. 코어포토닉스는 미국에서도 애플에 세 번째 특허침해 소송을 제기한 상태다.

However, LG Innotek is the one that supplies the iPhone camera. Therefore, Core Photonics said it sued LG Innotek. 이에 대해 LG이노텍은 애플이 멀티소스 전략을 취하고 있음을 강조했다. 그러므로 자신들의 부품만이 납품된 것이 아니라는 주장이다. 실제 특허 침해가 있었다 해도 상대는 자신들이 아니라고 강변한다. 애플이나 렌즈 등 완제품 업체에 소송을 걸어야 한다고 맞대응하고 있다.

Even if there was an actual patent infringement, the opponent argues that they are not themselves.
