[당정] ‘슈퍼여당’에 집단소송제 도입 속도…법무부, 정부입법 추진

더불어민주당이 의석수 180석의 ‘슈퍼여당’으로 거듭났다. 그동안 지체됐던 상법 개정작업에 속도가 붙을 전망이다. 법무부는 21대 국회 출범과 함께 공정경제 관련 법안에 집중할 방침이다. 올해 국회에서 통과돼 시행될 수 있도록 본격적인 입법작업에 나설 계획이다.

법무부는 지난 2018년 가습기살균제 참사와 BMW 화재사건, 인보사 사태 등을 처리하려했다. 그 사건을 계기로 집단소송제를 제조물책임, 부당공동행위 등 집단적 피해발생이 우려되는 분야까지 확대 도입하는 내용이다. 이에 관한 ‘증권 관련 집단소송법 개정안’을 다룬다. 김종민 더불어민주당 의원 등을 통해 발의했다.
